About the CPD course
All children have the right to be educated and are expected in the UK to be in full-time education until they are at least 16 years old (and at least part-time between 16-18). Looked after children have lower educational achievement than their peers and; therefore; it is a vitally important part of your role as a foster carer to promote education with your foster child. Through education and with their educational needs supported; children will grow and develop physically and emotionally; have a better understanding of the world and be given a wealth of opportunities to learn.
