About the CPD course
All children will experience transitions in their early years; such as starting nursery or moving to a new school. Every child is unique and will respond differently to the transitions they face. For some children; these transitions can trigger challenging behaviour and potentially be very stressful. If a child has had adverse experiences in their past; these life changes can potentially be disruptive and distressing for them. However; if they have a good support network and emotional resilience; they will be able to deal much better with these transitions. This course will look at the many transitions a foster child may go through in their time in placement with you. We will discuss these changes in detail; looking at how they may affect the child and how you can support them and help them build emotional resilience.
