About the CPD course
Public interest and concern around privacy has led to the development of data protection and privacy laws across the globe. Due to the complexity; far-reaching organisational implications and high fines for non-compliance the implementation of such laws has generated a high amount of interest among organisations who need to comply as well as professionals and new businesses which seek to profit from this change. This course employs a socio-technical lens designed to support students in developing an understanding of the changing legal environment shaping data law and policy. Foundational legal principles are contextualised within theories of how the legal landscape interacts with normative values; economic forces and design or architecture.
