About the CPD course

The training is named in memory of Oliver McGowan; who tragically passed away in 2016. If those responsible for his care understood his specific needs; his death could have been prevented. This training is mapped to Tier 1 of the "Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting Autistic People" and the "Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting People with Learning Disabilities". It features individuals with experience and consists of four modules to help health and social care workers better support those with autism and learning disabilities. They are advised to use "autistic person" as individuals on the autism spectrum commonly prefer it.

The Mandatory Training Group offer bespoke accredited classroom training courses all over the UK, at any suitable training venue. Our team of trainers enables us to offer over 50 individual classroom courses, including CPD and QCF training qualifications. We also provide popular health and social care courses, including mandatory training for nursing and care staff.
