About the CPD course
Introduction to what autism is; how it affects the day-to-day life of autistic people. It introduces the differences that autistic people may have with social communication and interaction. For example; use of speech; language; eye contact and body language. It also looks at why patterns and routines can be so important for autistic people and the differences autistic people may have when coping with change; predicting reactions and events and planning. It looks at how an autistic persons sensory experiences can be different and at co-occurring conditions. Finally; it looks at what you can do to help.
