About the CPD course
It is essential that all staff in special schools understand the requirements set out in the Prevent duty and can recognise and respond to the signs of radicalisation. Compliance with the duty is particularly important within a wider safeguarding context as referenced in the statutory ‘Keeping children safe in education’ guidance and Ofsted’s inspection framework. As of 31 December 2023 updated statutory guidance on the Prevent duty is in effect. It is vital that staff fully understand their responsibilities under the updated guidance and act in accordance with it. Developed by Elizabeth Kitto - equality; diversity and inclusion specialist - this course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to ensure you are compliant with the Prevent duty and carry out your responsibilities under the updated statutory guidance.
