About the CPD course
EHCPs are for children and young people who require more support than is available through special educational needs support. The plans identify educational; health and social needs of the individual and set out the support they need to meet those needs. Education settings play an essential role in developing and implementing EHCPs; therefore it is essential that staff understand EHCPs and the role of schools. Developed by Karen Pilling - highly experienced SEND expert; deputy headteacher and SENCO - this course will explore what an EHCP is; the EHCP process and what a school’s responsibilities are for a child with an EHCP.
The National College helps meet the compliance, CPD and appraisal needs of thousands of schools worldwide on one online platform. We have automated and centralised essential management processes, enabling school leaders to effortlessly disseminate information to the entire workforce, create action plans, assign tasks and achieve common goals. Our platform helps leaders easily build individual and group learning plans to embed and evidence knowledge across their setting. It also helps them streamlines appraisal processes, saving time so that they can focus on professional growth and track whole-school impact.
