About the CPD course
This course is part of our therapeutic schools approach. Underpinned by important theory on research around mental health and wellbeing. It course offers information all school practitioners should know in a real, relevant way which draws on tangible; easy to understand examples. It is digestible and easy to relate back to the classroom. As the course moves through the sessions it focuses more on your school environment; teaching skillsets and classrooms to help you begin to make real changes to the whole school. The course is aimed to inspire and empower you to begin to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of children in your school. Alongside this you will have lifetime access to the resource section on our website to help you begin to implement the changes we advise. This course is a series of 6 CPD twilight sessions: Childhood trauma and the brain: What you need to know; Attachment disorder in the classroom; Creating an emotionally intelligent class; Rules boundaries and consistency in the classroom; Therapeutic classrooms and Therapeutic teaching skills.
