About the CPD course

It is not easy to communicate effectively with those who come from a different culture and speak a different language: cultural and linguistic differences can lead to miscommunication: stress and even conflict. To improve our cross-cultural communication we need to understand culture and cultural identity: learn to accept cultural diversity and sensitivities and become aware of our own prejudices and stereotypes. This course will help you improve your cultural awareness: understand the challenges of cross-cultural communication and learn how to deal with them. You will also learn about trauma in cross-cultural communication and how to look after your own well-being.
