This training is split into 2 x 3 hour long webinars and explores developmental trauma, its impact on children and how it can have lifelong consequences for them. It will look at parenting strategies to help them to recover from this, including PACE, which was developed by the American psychologist Dan Hughes. We will also look at the impact that caring for a child with developmental trauma can have on the carers leading to them developing blocked care and identify ways to manage this.
