About the CPD course
This course is aimed at HMPPS operational staff. It delivers training to enhance professionalism in prisons and is designed to support Civil Service Success Profiles. At successful completion you will be equipped with knowledge and tools needed to engage these questions: What does professionalism look like in the prison service? What characterises high quality ethical performance? Why/how is respect for religion/faith traditions/spirituality important across HMPPS? How to make values-driven decisions? How to look out for the moral dimensions of moral injury? The course makes evidence-based and other research accessible and equips you with tools for everyday job satisfaction and success.
