About the CPD course
How to support neurodivergent students in an inclusive classroom setting? This course will cover what autism is and its common characteristics. We will focus on understanding the needs of each student in particular sensory processing; communication and social interaction. We will look at the importance of working in a team (teachers; SENCO’s; parents; therapists) and discuss the strategies to make education accessible for all students. The outcome is to provide educators and support staff with the knowledge; skills and strategies to support each individual learner on the autism spectrum to create an inclusive classroom and to promote neuroinclusive education.
