About the CPD course
The "Management of Epilepsy Care" course provides comprehensive training in epilepsy care. Participants gain an understanding of epilepsy; its causes; and physiological effects. They learn to recognise symptoms; triggers; and effects on the brain; as well as the different types of seizures. The course covers the diagnostic process and available treatments. Emphasis is placed on a patient-centred approach to care; including seizure management and post-seizure care. Additionally; participants develop skills in documentation; including the importance of risk assessments. Overall; the course equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to provide excellent care to patients with epilepsy.
