There is no doubt about climate change: or that it is the greatest challenge facing humanity. All ecosystems: natural and anthropic: are under enormous pressure: besieged by emergencies and provoking a long list of disastrous economic: social: health and: of course: environmental repercussions. Adaptation and resilience are vital for all climate change affected ecosystems. We must ensure that our cities can sustain human activities despite the increasing frequency and intensity of extreme events. As the minimum unit of intervention: the community must acquire a capacity for transformation: fluidity and adaptation: redesigning not just how our cities are built but how spaces between cities are structured.
