The LCRIG Innovation & Learning Festival brings together the whole highways community; including councils; the Department for Transport (DfT); academia; industry associations; the supply chain and media. The event enables everyone to learn about new products; solutions; innovations and techniques from across the highways sector; share experiences; receive updates from DfT; take part in technical training sessions; and take part in interactive debates. Our event also features indoor and outdoor exhibitions plus a range of live demonstration sessions. Local authorities are invited to find out about new innovations from the supply chain that can help to meet their current and future challenges. The festival includes a programme of technical training sessions; designed to support delegates on their learning journey which will take place in the Technical Learning Theatre. In addition; our Innovation Think Pavilion will be a space to encourage ‘thought’ conversations and hear from key industry figures. The focus will be on innovation and learning in the highways and transport technology space; aligning to LCRIG’s pillars.
The Local Councils Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) was established to bring together councils from across the UK to discuss common challenges, share best practice and support each other as they respond to the challenges of managing their highways.
