We have been asking our members from across the industries the reasons why they became a CPD provider. This CPD Member case study was provided by BulliesOut. For more information, please visit their CPD Member Directory page.
Please provide us with a brief overview of your organisation. What do you do?
Established in May 2006, we are one of the most dedicated and ambitious anti-bullying charities. Our award winning work is delivered across the UK and each year, through our work with individuals, schools, youth and community settings and the workplace, we provide education, training and support to thousands of people. Our Vision is to empower and inspire children, young people and adults to overcome bullying behaviour, recognise their self-worth and achieve their full potential.
Why did you become a CPD provider?
We became a CPD provider as it gives a recognised qualification to our training whilst enabling people to 'upskill' to a high standard. Being a CPD provider gives people confidence that we are recognised for the quality training we provide.
How did you implement CPD accreditation in your organisation?
We work with a challenging subject area which is not always covered, but is needed, within the workplace. We developed training to identify and ensure employees understood the fundamentals of bullying and harassment. When implementing our training, we wanted to ensure it was of a high quality and had the desired impact for our learners and becoming a CPD provider was perfect for us.
How has CPD helped your organisation achieve its learning objectives?
Before achieving CPD Accreditation, we only worked with a small number of people in the workplace. As bullying behaviour affects one in three people at work, we needed to improve on this. Since developing our CPD training courses, each year, we have seen an increase in the number we are working with, enabling us to help and support more adults in the workplace and more educators who work with children and young people.
