We have been asking our members from across the industries the reasons why they became a CPD provider. This CPD Member case study was provided by Constructionarium. For more information please visit their CPD Member Directory page.
Please provide us with a brief overview of your organisation. What do you do?
Constructionarium Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation which delivers education and training to students who are studying and professionals across the built environment sector. Constructionarium provides a unique learning opportunity where there is a continuous cycle of learning, reflection and improvement. By working as a team the students are able to experience life on a construction site, becoming familiar with tools, equipment, jargon, terminology and managing themselves effectively to meet the demands of a client. All activities are designed to simulate the construction process but delivered in a safe controlled way. We also deliver short duration construction training courses. We are based on a 19 acre bespoke site in Bircham Newton, Norfolk.
Why did you become a CPD provider?
To provide attendees on our courses with a certificate of achievement which gives CPD hours and also reassurance our courses have been certificated by an industry body.
How did you implement CPD accreditation in your organisation?
We decided to gain CPD Accreditation for all the courses and events we deliver and have completed the application process for each course as it comes on line. Our plan is to have all our course and events CPD accredited.
How has CPD helped your organisation achieve its learning objectives?
The process of applying for CPD accreditation has focused us on the way we write our materials and set out the course delivery and learning objectives. As an organisation offering commercial courses the accreditation has helped our customers to gain recognised CPD learning.
