About the CPD course
This course is aimed at staff who primarily support people with mental health problems or distress and who also misuse drugs/alcohol. It will provide useful information about dual diagnosis good practice guidance and look at a number of helping strategies to enhance participants’ confidence in addressing difficulties. The course uses a number of learning activities (for example trainer presentation; group work; skill practice and individual reflection etc.) to help participants to have a deeper insight into the challenges faced by those with dual diagnosis.
