About the CPD course
Define Fine is a parent/carer led peer support organisation with professional and lived experience; set up in response to the growing number of children and young people who experience school attendance difficulties. This includes emotionally-based school avoidance(EBSA) and other barriers to attendance including Special Educational Needs; including physical or mental illness; Bullying; Academic pressure; School environment. We share our successful Define Fine framework with Parent Carers and other Parent Carer Peer Supporters and Advocates to ensure parents are not alone and they feel supported and empowered to find solutions based on our Barriers to Attendance Guidance.

Define Fine is a national parent carer led peer support organisation. Our team all have lived experience of children and young people with school attendance difficulties, sometimes referred to as EBSA: Emotionally Based School Avoidance - linked to unmet Special Educational Needs & Disabilities including physical or mental health, either suspected or diagnosed, bullying, issues relating to academic pressure, or even the school environment.
