The Acute and minor illnesses in adults course is a one-day course that covers anatomical and physiological variances in adults. The course covers an approach to adult assessment; history taking/safety netting; headache & facial palsy; ENT infection; dizziness; abdominal pain; diarrhoea and vomiting; UTI; asthma/copd exacerbation; lower RTI; skin infections; Covid-19 and long COVID. By the end of the day you should be able to Identify the components of a sufficiently detailed patient assessment; discuss the management options for a range of minor illnesses and Identify red flags that could indicate a serious or life threatening condition that would warrant urgent/immediate referral.
