A one-day course that covers anatomical and physiological variances in children. The course covers an approach to paediatric assessment; common acute minor illnesses; rashes; antibiotic prescribing; diarrhoea and vomiting; feeding problems and crying babies; constipation; red flags and recognising sepsis; Covid-19 and long COVID. By the end of the day you should be able to Identify the components of a sufficiently detailed patient assessment; discuss the management options for a range of minor illnesses and Identify red flags that could indicate a serious or life threatening condition that would warrant urgent/immediate referral.
