About the CPD course
This course is based on NICE guideline 106 and covers the diagnosis and pharmacological management of chronic heart failure. It also covers lifestyle factors; but management of acute heart failure; interventional procedures and palliative care are beyond the scope of the course. The course carries a NICE endorsement statement. It includes six modules plus two optional modules and two case studies; plus quizzes and a final assessment. A pass mark of 70% in the final assessment is required to complete the course and receive a certificate.

We are an NHS funded not-for-profit organisation that supports quality, optimised prescribing for patients. We produce evidence-based resources and tools for primary care commissioners, and provide a platform to share innovation across the NHS. Most of our materials are publicly available, however we also provide a range of data and intelligence tools, webinars and events for our subscribers. We also aim to engage with a broad range of stakeholders including patients and carer groups, the pharmaceutical industry and voluntary sector organisations.
