About the CPD course
This is the first of two e-learning courses on ‘Managing medicines for adults receiving social care in the community’ and is based on guideline 67 from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). This update replaces the 2018 version of the course. It covers: NICE Guideline 67; person centered medicines assessment; record keeping and sharing information; managing concerns about medicines; ordering and supplying medicines; transporting; storing and disposing of medicines and covert administration.
We are an NHS funded not-for-profit organisation that supports quality, optimised prescribing for patients. We produce evidence-based resources and tools for primary care commissioners, and provide a platform to share innovation across the NHS. Most of our materials are publicly available, however we also provide a range of data and intelligence tools, webinars and events for our subscribers. We also aim to engage with a broad range of stakeholders including patients and carer groups, the pharmaceutical industry and voluntary sector organisations.
