About the CPD course
Domestic abuse and sexual violence (DASV) have a significant impact on our children and young people. This seminar will provide a range of information; including definitions and categories of DASV; the Domestic Abuse Act 2021; trauma; developmental impact and potential limit of longer-term life chances. This seminar includes opportunities to explore and build on your existing knowledge; ask questions and increase your understanding of how domestic abuse impacts children and adults; identify ways to respond; support; and signpost. This seminar structured training with discussion and tasks; can be provided in-person or online.
Safeguarding Every Day is led by an industry expert with a rich 25-year history in primary education. Over the past decade and a half, our founder has specialized in safeguarding, culminating in a pivotal role as the Education Safeguarding Lead for a prominent London Borough. With experience as an assistant head, inclusion lead, and DSL, we have imparted safeguarding knowledge across various themes for years. Our specializations include childhood trauma, ACEs, and the ramifications of domestic abuse on children. We excel in auditing school safeguarding provisions and offer diverse in-person and online workshops. As the Child Protection Lead for Survivors Can Shine C.I.C., we are committed to amplifying children's voices.
