About the CPD course
SIPOC stands for Suppliers; Inputs; Process; Outputs and Customers and is an excellent Lean system thinking tool that helps to link process outputs and inputs to customers and suppliers. This session will help to develop employee knowledge on capacity and demand and how to balance services following this component of Lean. The tool can also be useful in identifying supplier issues as well as mapping out all customers along a patient pathway. The tool helps to demonstrate how outputs become inputs to subsequent steps; thus; enabling identification of gaps as processes or change is implemented or designed for existing processes.
