About the CPD course
This course introduces the topic of unconscious bias and the effect this can have on our decision making in and out of the workplace. Unconscious bias affects everyone and by acknowledging that it does exist we can start to address the impact that it can have on individuals; colleagues; and service users. It allows for attendees to identify their own unconscious biases; the impact on their behaviours and language and allow them to explore ways they can take compensatory action.
South Tees is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley serving the people of Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Hambleton and Richmondshire and beyond.
The trust runs The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough and the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton. It also runs community services in Hambleton and Richmondshire, Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland. It provides a range of specialist regional services to 1.5million people in the Tees Valley and parts of Durham, North Yorkshire and Cumbria, with a particular expertise in heart disease, trauma, neurosciences, renal services, cancer services and spinal injuries.
