About the CPD course
Laparoscopic surgery is now the mainstay of most surgical procedures due its benefits – fewer complications; and quicker recovery. The skills needed for laparoscopic surgery require hands on training; development of ambidexterity; great hand eye coordination and depth perception; and the ability to work with minimal tactile feedback. The laparoscopic surgical skills course provides a learner oriented platform in which basic laparoscopic surgical techniques can be learnt in a highly supported; low stakes; friendly environment with a view of translation of skills learnt on the course to the theatre as deemed appropriate.
