About the CPD course
This trauma informed training focuses specifically on building a solid foundational understanding of what domestic abuse is; looking at the different manifestations of abuse and its impact on survivors. It empowers participants beyond the scope of a general awareness training by encouraging self-reflection and critical thinking; as well as providing education that focuses on survivor experience; intersectionality and the impact of trauma.
We work to protect and support victims and reintegrate offenders. Our strength is in partnership working and integrated approaches across sectors, particularly linking Criminal Justice services to voluntary sector and Local Authority providers. Our broad spectrum of work includes support for victims, (including those requiring specialist services and crisis support), restorative justice, support for the families of offenders, early interventions, work in the field of domestic abuse and through-the-gate offender mentoring.
