Intracavitary electrocardiogram (IC-ECG) technology for vascular access device (VAD) insertion

The aim of this module is to provide clinicians with information to help them safely and confidently use IC-ECG technology to accurately situate the tips of central venous access devices into the most appropriate position. The main focus of the module is refresh the skill of ECG rhythm recognition. The module will utilise quizzes; reflections; and short written assignments to test and cement knowledge. It encompasses the key elements of best practice to maintain and improve clinical outcomes. The course is designed to facilitate continuous professional development and learning; along with supporting reflective and evidence-based practice.
