About the CPD course
Short seminar for healthcare professionals providing end-of-life care in the community; including residential/nursing home settings. The seminar will explore the issues around recognising dying; establishing end-of-life wishes as well as symptom management for care support workers and qualified nurses providing end-of-life care.
City Hospice is at the heart of Cardiff, providing medical and nursing care for patients facing a life limiting illness, which includes end of life care, and support to their families. Our City Hospice team cares for patients across the city, managing their symptoms and offering essential support. This means each person in our care can live their lives to the fullest for as long as possible. We help patients with diagnoses such as Cancer, Dementia, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or other life-limiting illnesses. As we deliver community palliative care for the whole of Cardiff, all of our patients live within the capital, and range in age from 18 upwards.
