About the CPD course
Aimed at staff who work in Higher Education and have student facing roles; for example academics; student welfare support; programme support; library staff etc. The session will help delegates achieve a greater understanding of how to respond to situations concerning student mental health and wellbeing. The session also explores policy and legislation that contribute to a university duty of care to students and promotes an awareness of useable skills and reputable resources that are available. Applying the skills developed during this course will ensure that interactions with students are empowering; consistent and supportive; whilst also supporting the wellbeing of staff.
