About the CPD course
The aim of this course is to provide the learner with an understanding of the distinct roles of a data processor; data controller; and data protection officer and their corresponding responsibilities within the framework of UK and EU GDPR. Additionally; it highlights the pivotal role played by the Supervisory Authority (referred to as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK) in ensuring compliance with these regulations. The learning module will cover: Exploring the roles of a data processor; data controller and data protection officer and their differing responsibilities; Identifying the necessary roles required to establish an effective GDPR compliance strategy; Understanding the key function of the Supervisory Authority in ensuring and maintaining compliance.
