This is an introductory course suitable for anyone who handles and prepares food. This might be in a commercial catering environment or as a volunteer; e.g. at a local lunch club. By the end of the course learners will understand their responsibilities in relation to food safety. This includes considering individuals hygiene as well as how to keep premises and equipment clean. Other sources of cross contamination are considered as well the importance of cooking and storing food correctly. For learners more suited to Level 1; a more condensed version of the key learning points is available.
I have worked with parents and children for over 20 years in a variety of roles. I am an experienced and dynamic leader who has worked both in the statutory and voluntary sector to manage projects from inception to delivery of challenging targets. I am an enthusiastic individual keen to motivate others and support them to develop to their full potential.
I have over 10 years of leadership and management experience. Alongside this I have had 20 years experience of training. I have developed my own programmes in response to identified training needs, and delivered accredited courses. Both in my paid work and voluntary roles, I work with community members, staff and partners and I have developed excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills to communicate at different levels. I source about 50% of my work directly with clients and for the other 50% am delighted to work with various training and consultancy companies, ensuring that my knowledge and professional development is always up to date.
