About the CPD course
Motivational interviewing (MI) is an evidence-based; client-centred approach aimed at supporting others in exploring helpful changes in their lives. This Advanced programme follows on from the Intermediate and Foundation Level MI training offered by this provider. The course aims to increase proficiency and deepen understanding of Motivational Interviewing practice. The 14 hour hybrid programme is delivered in three sessions (1x face to face & 2x virtually). To complete the programme; learners are also required to undertake a recorded assessment of MI practice which is evaluated using a standardised MI coding tool.
The Community Education Provider Network (CEPN), also known as Training Hub, is a localised model for the planning and delivery of education and training for the health and social care workforce within the community. The model has been pump prime funded through a Health Education England pilot initiative that has been rolled out in various parts of the country.
The CEPN has been active since April 2014, and it continues to plan and deliver joint workforce development programme for health and social care staff in the borough.
