About the CPD course
Motivational interviewing (MI) is an evidence-based; client-centred approach aimed at supporting others in exploring helpful changes in their lives. This Intermediate level training follows on from our Foundation MI programme. The course aims to embed MI in practice via a series of 12 x 2 1/4 hour virtual sessions offered over a six month period. Each session focusses on an aspect of MI and half the session is devoted to live skills practice with Facilitator/peer feedback. Participants need to attend at least 8 of the 12 sessions to complete the programme.
The Community Education Provider Network (CEPN), also known as Training Hub, is a localised model for the planning and delivery of education and training for the health and social care workforce within the community. The model has been pump prime funded through a Health Education England pilot initiative that has been rolled out in various parts of the country.
The CEPN has been active since April 2014, and it continues to plan and deliver joint workforce development programme for health and social care staff in the borough.
