About the CPD course
Motivational interviewing (MI) is an evidence-based: client-centred approach aimed at supporting others in exploring helpful changes in their lives. MI can be used and adapted in a range of settings including health: social care: the criminal justice system: leadership and education. This practical and interactive introductory two day (or equivalent) training will cover the principles: processes and practice of MI and equip learners to start being able to use Motivational Interviewing skills within their working environments and beyond. This can lead to opportunities to develop MI learning and practice further in our Intermediate and Advanced level training programmes.
The Community Education Provider Network (CEPN), also known as Training Hub, is a localised model for the planning and delivery of education and training for the health and social care workforce within the community. The model has been pump prime funded through a Health Education England pilot initiative that has been rolled out in various parts of the country.
The CEPN has been active since April 2014, and it continues to plan and deliver joint workforce development programme for health and social care staff in the borough.
